Patna Power Supply Company (PESU) has issued a dedicated helpline number (9264454456) to resolve complaints and inquiries related to prepaid smart meters from consumers of the Patliputra division.
“The number will be functional on all working days during office hours (10 am to 5 pm) to address queries related to prepaid energy meters under Patliputra division,” said a press release of the power firm, quoting executive engineer Manish Kant.
Inquiries and complaints regarding prepaid meters can also be made through helpline number 1912.
The department also hosted a one-day seminar for its engineers on Wednesday to raise awareness of its employees and help provide better consumer services. Experts from Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) and EDF delivered speeches at the seminar. The statement said that in addition to effective methods for handling consumer complaints, it also explained the functions and billing procedures of prepaid meters to engineers.
