On Friday, July 23, petrol and diesel prices in the four major cities remained unchanged for the sixth consecutive day. According to data from the Indian Petroleum Corporation, in Delhi, petrol prices were flat at 101.84 rupees per liter and diesel prices were flat at 89.87 rupees per liter. In Mumbai, the price of petrol is 107.83 rupees per liter and the price of diesel is 97.45 rupees per liter.
According to state refineries, currently, of the four subways, petrol and diesel prices are the highest in Mumbai. Due to the value-added tax, fuel rates vary from state to state in India.
Petrol and diesel prices are reviewed daily by state refineries such as Indian Petroleum, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum, taking into account the prices of crude oil on the international market and the exchange rate of the rupee. Any changes in fuel prices will be implemented at 6 a.m. every day.
